When Derek was first put on contract to work for ZOX, they were in the process of hiring most of their staff, and as such, many recruitment ads were needed to attract the right kind of programmers, technical support staff, project managers, etc. The first ads featured the 'ZOX Squad' in one form or another, while later ads were more text-based. They ran primarily in The Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star, and Sillicon Valley North.
