In Case You're Interested: What I did was...
Found an email icon in a Windows folder on my machine - took a screen capture (the "print screen" button on most keyboards) of it to get a really aliased look, blew it up in photoshop and then created some atari-looking spider legs.
For the background I made a second screen capture of an email inbox and photoshop toolbar; I then superimposed the Flak logo and used the transform-with-perspective tool.
