Degrees and Academic Qualifications
- 1999 - Master in Environmental Studies (Nature in Popular Culture), York
University. Examined the most effective ways to communicate environmental and ecological concerns through popular media. My final project involved the writing, design, and formal analysis of a children’s book championing the diversity and wildness of nature, and the value of interacting with animals, forests etc. at a young age.
- 1996 - Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honors) – Focus in Photography - York University. Studio experience in most areas of visual arts including, drawing, and painting, plus extensive non-studio work in literature, mythology, art history, and creative writing.

- Music: Classically trained on Guitar (Grade 7 Royal Conservatory); composed music with pop artist Sara Craig (1998) and played in 3 pop bands (1996-2000); co-wrote and performed songs for two films: "14 Days in Paradise" ("Guy Who Will Never Be Loved"), 2007, and "Coming to Terms" ("Emma"), 2000. Currently co-writing songs with various artists.
